Dunn Gallery presents “The Beauty of the Spoon,” an exhibit showcasing functional, rustic and ornamental wooden spoons, through January. The show features spoons by Gerrit Van Ness and Kelly Dunn.

Van Ness sculpts intricately detailed wooden spoons. He incorporates texture and color into his whimsical works.

Dunn creates rustic and aromatic spoons. He follows bark inclusions and natural attributes, allowing the grain of each piece of wood to determine the finished spoon.

Many gallery artists are featured in Norman D. Stevens’ recently published “A Gathering of Spoons: The Design Gallery of the World’s Most Stunning Wooden Art Spoons.” The gallery will have a copy on hand for viewing.

Dunn Gallery is located at 54-3862 Akoni Pule Highway in Kapaau. For more information, call 884-5808 or visit dunngallerywoodart.com.
